State of Mind at Work
Insight-led work that helps people think more clearly, relate more effectively and work together more easily.
Why State of Mind Matters at Work
How people experience their work — how they think, feel, relate and respond — is shaped moment by moment by their state of mind.
In organisations, challenges are often approached through skills, behaviours, structures or processes. While these all matter, they don’t fully account for why capable people can find themselves stuck, reactive, disengaged or working at odds with one another — even in well-designed systems.
My work with organisations focuses on helping individuals, leaders and teams understand the role of state of mind in their everyday experience at work. When people see this for themselves, they naturally experience greater clarity, perspective and a sense of ease — even in complex or uncertain environments.
This work is not about techniques, mindset training or asking people to manage themselves better. It is about creating the conditions for insight: moments of fresh understanding that change how people relate to their thinking, their work and each other.
As state of mind settles, people tend to:
think more clearly and make better decisions
communicate more openly and listen more fully
navigate challenge and change with greater steadiness
experience stronger, more constructive working relationships
From this place, wellbeing improves, collaboration strengthens, and performance follows naturally.
Global team at Shell - Coming Together
“Anna played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our 2025 IT Strategy Centre of Excellence (CoE) “All Hands” annual meeting. Ahead of the session, she engaged thoughtfully with both the CoE leadership team and individual team members to understand needs, aspirations, challenges, and expectations, while laying the foundations for a psychologically safe environment. On the day, Anna facilitated multiple sessions with exceptional consideration for differing working styles and individual psyches.
As a result, the team participated openly and constructively, enabling us to align on a set of shared goals spanning both measurable outcomes and the mindsets and behaviours essential for our collective success. Anna is an excellent, highly thoughtful professional whose depth of experience was evident throughout, and I would strongly recommend her to any team looking to elevate its effectiveness. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again

CEO - Finding Calm Amidst Uncertainty
“When I was appointed CEO to ‘turnaround’ a listed company, I knew I had a big task ahead. I decided to reach out to Anna to help put the journey ahead into perspective and learn how to find calm in the face of uncertainty. What I loved most about working with her was her steadfast
belief that the ‘answer’ is within all of us - and the key is finding your own personal way of tapping into it. I couldn’t recommend Anna highly enough for anyone seeking peace and clarity during a turbulent time in your professional or personal life.” - Nick , CEO, Oil & Gas Company
How I Work With Organisations
I work with organisations in three main ways, depending on context and need.
1. Facilitation:
I create the conditions for honest, meaningful conversation. Through carefully facilitated 1:1 and small-group conversations, I help surface what is often unspoken — what people are struggling with, what gets in the way, and what would genuinely help. This work builds trust, psychological safety and insight, while giving leadership a clearer, more human understanding of what’s really going on.
2. Programme Delivery
I support individuals and teams in ways that meet real context. With a clear understanding of the environment and pressures people are operating in, I shape delivery that feels relevant and genuinely supportive. The focus is on state of mind and creating opportunities for insight. From these moments of fresh understanding, people often experience shifts in clarity, perspective and a greater sense of ease.
3. Consultancy
I help organisations learn from lived experience. Because much of my work happens close to people’s day-to-day reality, patterns often become visible that aren’t always apparent at a leadership level. On an anonymised, aggregated basis, I share these insights to support more informed, human and sustainable ways of working.
Who Have I Worked With?
I have worked inside organisations for many years, supporting individuals, leaders and teams across a wide range of contexts — from one-to-one conversations and facilitated group work through to large-scale programmes.
This has included the design and delivery of personalised wellbeing and state-of-mind-focused programmes commissioned by organisations such as Accenture and delivered across multiple divisions over a number of years.
Alongside delivery, my work has involved listening closely to lived experience and sharing anonymised, aggregated insight with leadership teams — helping inform more human and effective ways of working. Other clients have included Google, British Land, Red Bull, Rio Tinto and Shell.
